Three Mount Gambier youths have all pleaded guilty to driving having never held a licence and were strongly warned by Magistrate Bill Morris not to do it again.

The three boys, who cannot be identified because of their age, appeared in the Mount Gambier Youth Court on Tuesday, all charged with separate illegal driving offences.

Mr Morris told all of the defendants that they were not welcome on this community’s roads.

“The reason why we impose penalties for driving unlicensed is because you are a danger to everyone, all of us, we’re a bit selfish about this,” Mr Morris said.

“We don’t want you on the road because you are dangerous, you’re dangerous because you have not been able to show anyone you’re able to drive a car and you have never demonstrated you understand the road rules.

“You’re not welcome on these roads, do you understand this?”

Each of the defendants received monetary fines.
