Before the Store will headline Shadows Entertainment Complex’s next Hard and Heavy night this Friday, supported by Beneath Dying Skies and Journal of a Deadman.

Hailing from Mount Gambier, Beneath Dying Skies was born from an eclectic range of influences and promises a live show that will leave no metal fan disappointed.

The band has established itself on the local metal scene, just finished recording for a demo and will shortly return to Bomb Studios to lay down more tracks.

Members hope to see the crowd singing along and moshing.

Before The Storm started with Daniel Coombe and Steve Davis working to create and unique, hard-edged sound after writing and performing music together for over a decade.

With their first two songs written, the pair recruited vocalist Damien Alleyn and his workmate, bassist Nathan Morrison, finding the four-piece worked well and taking their sound to the Mount Gambier crowds.

The band now has a three track demo and strong set of songs for live shows.

Journal of a Deadman was formed by five south-west Victorian metal-heads in late 2007, who got together a few times a week to socialise keep the neighbours awake with their loud sound.

The band has developed an eight-song set and is hoping to make an impression on the live scene in Victoria and South Australia.

Journal of a Deadman has already appeared alongside Frankenbok, A Red Dawn, Seven Pounds of pressure, Beneath Dying Skies and The Flood at past shows.

Doors open on Friday at 9pm for the metal triple-bill.
