Following the recently completed South East Women’s Football Association regular season, players and officials have been busy at two other major tournaments.
SEWFA under 16 and under 13 teams have just returned from Mildura where they competed in the annual South Australian country junior championships with two terrific results.
The under 16s were undefeated throughout the carnival, including a 17 – 0 rout of Noarlunga in its opening game, while the Under 13s finished second, losing just one match — to eventual champions, Adelaide Hills.
Meanwhile SEWFA hosted a carnival at Blue Lake Sports Park last weekend as part of the National Breast Cancer Foundation awareness program.
Wanderers were successful in the senior division, while Villa claimed the junior title.
