East Gambier honours legends

Two of East Gambier Football Club’s most revered players were officially inducted into the Bulldogs’ Hall of Fame earlier this week.
Robbie Ransom and Peter Dempsey are both three time premiership players with East Gambier, having been teammates alongside each other in the 1982 and 1983 successes.
Ransom also played in the 1976 premiership and Dempsey was in the club’s last senior flag side of 1988.
Ransom is a veteran of 257 games with the Bulldogs, while Dempsey pulled the famous black and red jumper on 240 times at senior level.
Both Ransom and Dempsey are products of East’s hugely successful junior successful program and have both put plenty back into the sport by coaching underage teams.
Dempsey has three times been named Western Border Junior Football League coach-of-the-year.
Ransom also won East’s senior best and fairest in 1987, while Dempsey collected the same award three times in a row, 1984 – 86.
The East Gambier FC Hall of Fame is a huge honour for the former Bulldogs — two players who we’re sure would bleed red and black … not just red.
