Marg is top-selling Avon lady

Mount Gambier woman Marg Winter was announced as the region’s highest selling Avon representative at a banquet in Hamilton last month.

Surpassing more than 300 other representatives for the title, Ms Winter said she had sold about $66,000 worth of Avon products in the last financial year.

“I knew I was in the running to be the top seller, but you don’t find out until the actual day who the winner is,” Ms Winter said.

“I knew I had a strong chance though because I’ve been selling Avon for 11 years now and have been a top seller for at least nine or 10 of those.”

At the banquet for the top 40 representatives, the 10 best sellers were each presented with a set of champagne glasses by Avon president and managing director Phil Keefe.

Ms Winter said she originally started selling Avon to fill a gap in her life, but continued with it because of the great benefits it has provided.

“I’ve met so many people through doorknocking and it’s a great confidence builder,” she said.

“I’ve made so many new friends, it’s great exercise and it keeps my brain active.”
