As many as nine former South East footballers could be lining up for Glenelg in Sunday’s SANFL grand final against Central Districts.

On a day the Tigers play in their first grand final since 1992 and look to end a 22 year premiership drought, coach Mark Mickan will rely on a number of former South East players.

Captain Ben Mules, formerly of Kalangadoo, has led the side admirably all season and could be on the victory dias with Mickan at the end of the match.

Former Tantanoola player Luke Panozzo has become one of the first players selected each week and has filled numerous roles for the Tigers throughout 2008.

Mark Ruwoldt (formerly of South Gambier) has excited club officials with his performances and former Millicent player Ty Allen is now regarded as one of the best players in the competition after finishing third in the Magarey Medal voting.

Matthew Duldig (formerly of Millicent), Tom Holmes (West Gambier), Josh Willoughby (Bordertown), John Hinge (Mundulla) and Lucas Block (Naracoorte) could also be in the starting line-up.
