Tigers celebrate successful year

Tigers Hockey Club enjoyed unprecedented success this year.

Ten teams were fielded — seven senior and three junior teams — and nine teams made the finals.

These nine teams also participated in grand finals for their respective grades and Tigers took home four premierships.

The victories came in division one men, division two women, division three men and under 15 girls.
All credit to the dedicated winning coaches Matthew Fenwick, Greg Cooper, Trevor Doll and Sharyn Ferguson.

On September 28 it was time to celebrate a great year at the end of season wind-up at the Blue Lake Golf Club.

Life memberships were awarded this year to very deserving recipients — Shane Fenwick and Kirrilly Cooper.

Team of the Year was jointly won by junior under 13 girls and boys.

Matthew Fenwick took out a very well deserved clubman of the year for his dedicated service to Tigers.

Teena McKee and Travis Doll were popular choices for division one men best and fairest awards.

Club president Steve Bartholomew took the opportunity to thank the committee and the many supporters who helped the club in so many different ways.
