Police act on trail bike complaints

A 15-year-old boy was reported on Sunday afternoon for riding an unregistered and uninsured trail bike on Wallace Street in Mount Gambier after police received complaints regarding the bike’s activities. The youth was also reported for being unlicensed and will be summonsed to appear before the Mount Gambier Children’s Court at a later date.
In other police news, a 17-year-old Mount Gambier boy was reported on Sunday for being unlicensed after being detected riding a motorcycle on Cardinia Street. He will be summonsed to appear in court later next month.
A 21-year-old Glencoe male was reported at 6.35pm on Sunday for driving an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle after being detected on Acacia Street, Mount Gambier. He will be summonsed to appear in court. The man’s vehicle was also defected and a passenger in the vehicle was issued with a fine in relation to drugs and related articles located in the vehicle.
At 1.15am on Monday a 33-year-old Millicent man was reported for driving while under the influence and exceeding the prescribed concentration of alcohol after being detected on Bay Road, Mount Gambier. The man returned a breath analysis reading of 0.280 and was issued with an immediate loss of licence notice for 12 months and his vehicle was impounded for seven days. The man will be summonsed to appear before the Mount Gambier Magistrates Court at a later date.
