The 10th birthday of the Robe Village Fair will be celebrated on Saturday with a packed bill for this year’s event, featuring Australian rock legends The Angels.

With a catalogue of hits spanning the 70s and 80s, The Angels have reformed and are embarking on the Night Attack tour of the country, with Robe securing one of only two South Australian dates.

The entertainment will begin at 11am with a performance by alternate country rock outfit The Huckleberry Swedes, followed by one of Australia’s best loved blues bands, The Bondi Cigars.

Hit-makers of the 90s, The Badloves, which recently reformed after recording hits such as The Weight with Jimmy Barnes and Green Limousine, will hit the stage at around 3pm.

James Reyne will also return after making his last appearance at the fair in 2002, playing hits from his solo career, as well as Australian Crawl recordings.

Vanessa Amorosi will hit the stage around 7.30pm before The Angels close the show with hits including Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again.

The event will also feature fine regional food and wine, free rides and fun children’s activities, arts and crafts and the hot rod show and shine.

Tickets will only be available at the gate if not sold out and are on sale at the Sir Robert Helpmann Theatre and Robe Bank SA branch.

McCormicks Bus Lines will provide transport from Mount Gambier, Penola, Millicent and Beachport, while Naracoorte Charters will also deliver people to the event.
