Drink-driving charge after accident

A 30-year-old Casterton man was charged with drink driving after a single-vehicle accident on Jubilee Highway East about 1.40am today.

Police and emergency services were called after the man’s vehicle collided with a tree, causing an estimated $3000 damage.

Police said the man became aggressive towards them and he was subsequently arrested for disorderly behaviour. He allegedly returned a positive breath analysis reading of 0.252.

The man was released on police bail and will appear in the Mount Gambier Magistrates Court at a later date.
