Thompson a creature of habit

Music lovers will have the chance to hear Carus Thompson play songs from his anticipated solo album Creature of Habit when he returns to Nelson Hotel on Sunday.

The West Australian roots-based performer is preparing to return to Europe in February and March to launch the new album after building a strong following overseas and in his home nation, which he toured over the past two months, appearing at major summer festivals.

His new material focuses on solo arrangements with a mellow acoustic flavour similar to the style that won him many fans with his Acoustic at the Norfolk release.

On My Way, the first single from the new album, is now available for download, with links available on his website www.carus.com.au.

He previously performed solo in Nelson in September, but will travel with his band for this weekend’s show, which begins at 4pm.
