Four-year-old child found dead

Mount Gambier criminal investigation branch detectives are probing the death of a four-year-old boy on Sunday morning.

Police were alerted to the death by ambulance officers who were called to the Mount Gambier address.

The cause of the child’s death will remain unconfirmed until police receive pathology and autopsy results to prepare a coronial report.

These are not expected to be available for several weeks.

Police do not believe the death is suspicious.
