Junior soccer carnival under way

The South Australian Primary Schools Sporting Association soccer carnival is under way at Blue Lake Sports Park.
Conditions are cool and damp for the opening day of the tournament. About 700 players and officials are taking part and most of the motels in Mount Gambier are booked out.
In early games, Western Border defeated Adelaide Hills 2 – 1 in under 11 while North West defeated Western Border 4 – 1 in under 13.
