Report street light failures to ETSA
Posted on June 24, 2009, 10:10am
Street lights which are not operating should not be reported to the Mount Gambier City Council.
Council’s operational services director Daryl Sexton has urged residents to report failed street lights to ETSA Utilities, telephone 131 366 or 1800 676 043, or on www.etsautilities.com.au.
Mr Sexton said reporting out-of-order street lights directly to ETSA Utilities instead of council ensured a quicker response.

There is also a possible financial incentive for report lights not working to ETSA as in the event a street light has gone out for which ETSA are responsible and the light is not repaired within 5 working days in the Adelaide metropolitan and CBD area, Whyalla, Mount Gambier, Mount Barker, Gawler, Stirling, Murray Bridge, Port Augusta, Willunga, Port Pirie and Port Lincoln, and 10 working days elsewhere, from the date on which the fault comes to our attention we will arrange a cheque for the amount of $20 (including GST) to be forwarded to the first person who reported the faulty street light.
In addition, the payment will be recurring for each time the target is not achieved.
The Faulty Street Light Report form which can be sent to ETSA Utilities online, 7 days a week, day or night. Alternatively, you can report street light faults on either 13 13 66 or 1800 676 043.

That is a load of cr#p, I reported a street light as not working nothing was done for 2 weeks so I reported it again and got a phone call to say it has been fixed. That was last year but still waiting for the cheque.
