Pioneers defeat Bandits 97 – 86

The Mount Gambier Pioneers defeated the Albury-Wodonga Bandits 97 – 86 at the Icehouse last night.
It was a scratchy win over the competition’s bottom side, but the Pioneers were only threatened when the visitors mounted a third-quarter challenge.
The Pioneers pulled away 25 – 15 in the final quarter.
Andrew Rice was in great form again and had 18 rebounds.
The victory keeps the Pioneers in with a chance to play finals. With eight games to play, Mount Gambier is currently fifth on the ladder.
