Social night for singles over 45

Singles over the age of 45 will have the chance to make new friends at a meet-and-greet function in Mount Gambier on July 18.

Lee Dowdell, organiser of the social and friendship group Like Fine Wine, said there was a definite need for adults who are possibly in their best stage of life, ready to live and follow dreams, to socialise and make new friends.

Many people in the region who find themselves single for different reasons become socially isolated.

The meet-and-greet function, which will be held at the Mount Gambier RSL cafe lounge from 7pm, will give singles the opportunity to make new friends in a non-confronting and safe environment.

Drinks and light meals will be available and guests are responsible for their own expenses.
