Firemen rescue distressed kitten

A young kitten is down to eight lives after being saved by a Mount Gambier Metropolitan Fire Service crew following its tumble down a wall cavity on Monday morning.
Four officers were called to a Lindsay Street home to find the fearless feline stuck between two beams in the wall.
It had apparently climbed onto the roof and fallen down a shaft.
In half an hour’s work, the crew removed a sheet of roof iron and part of a second ceiling to gain access to the wall cavity.
The kitten was uninjured.
