Man fined over unroadworthy vehicle

A Mount Gambier man who was allegedly caught driving around Lachlan Crescent in a vehicle with no number plates, no lights, no doors, no seats and no bonnet was reported for driving an unroadworthy vehicle just before 9pm on Sunday.
The man, aged 37, was also reported for driving an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle.
He will face the Mount Gambier Magistrates Court at a later date.
In other police news, a Mount Gambier man, 29, was reported for driving without due care, drink driving and driving disqualified after police were called to a vehicle collision on Jubilee Highway East at 5am on Sunday.
The driver allegedly left the scene, but was located by police a short time later.
He returned an alleged breath analysis reading of 0.149.
His licence has been suspended for six month and his car was seized for a week.
