Fluoride plant construction begins

Construction work on Mount Gambier’s fluoridation plant at the Blue Lake pumping station began on Monday.

The soil is currently being excavated in preparation for the construction of a 60 square metre stone building above the pumping station which will house the plant.

Major works are scheduled to start in late December, with completion to take about five months.

SA Water chief operating officer John Ringham said residents would start receiving fluoridated water by the middle of next year.

The new plant will mix controlled amounts of fluoride with water pumped from the Blue Lake to all SA Water customers in Mount Gambier.

SA Health principal water quality advisor Dr David Cunliffe said Mount Gambier was the only major centre in South Australia without a fluoridated drinking water supply, and the project would improve dental health in the local community.

“Around 90pc of South Australians already use fluoridated water,” he said.

“It’s the most effective way to allow everyone access to fluoride to help protect their teeth.”

The community will be notified by post of the project’s completion before the delivery of fluoridated water.

    Hydrofluorosilic acid, a Schedule 7 poison is what they are adding. Not naturally occuring calcium flouride. I worked at Shell and Alcoa. When our choice of drinking water in a drought prone land is manipulated like this, I woder what’s next? Like immigration, climate change, and carbon emission arguments, the loudest voices are pre-eminent –parroting the mantra: ‘trust us’. Australians are only just beginning to rouse from the penal colony slumber the Commonwealth has deluded us with.

    Fluoride doesn’t protect your teeth. It turns them dark though, Fluoride is a deadly poison. Don’t use it.

    Drink distilled water. It’s the purest water you can easily buy, the most free of contaminants, and only costs a little more than regular bottled water.

    Be careful of salt as well. In many countries the population is subjected to fluoride through table salt. Read the label of your salt or research to determine if the table salt you buy has been contaminated with fluoride.

    Again I find my self falling prey to the ignorant. I know that I should not argue with idiots because people may not know the difference, but I cannot help my self.

    Most chemicals that our body is made up from will kill you in large amounts. Fluoride is harmless in the water supplies.

    The evidence is over whelming that fluoride reduces tooth decay.

    And what the hell is the crap about “sedating” the populace with water supply additives. This is the product of an over imaginative mind and watching too many old X files episodes.

    I thank the Lord that we have a government that looks at facts and makes the right decisions in regards to our health, and dose not waste time discussing a mute point with willingly ignorant people.

    In the end though we have the right to believe what ever we want, even if it is wrong.

    Wayne, Wayne, Wayne, Where have you been? You simply must read the Flouride Deception by Christopher Bryson then you may realize how brainwashed by the corporations that are making billions off this toxin.
    Fluoride is one of the most toxic poisons known to man. Commercial fluoride is gathered from the scrubbing stacks of the aluminum smelting process. the Nazis used sodium fluoride to mellow out their prisoners.
    Industry literally disposes this toxic waste through the ’ wonders’ of dental hygiene. Best read up on this.
    One last point, if you are putting your ‘faith in the government’, I really have to wonder what planet you think you live on.

    Whilst the addition of fluoride has been attributed to a reduction in dental caries, it has also been shown to cause osteosarcoma in pubescent boys. Adding this filthy chemical to the water supply is simply mass medication with dubious benefit, many places are eliminating it from the water supply in direct response to community opposition to its addition.
    Clean unadulterated water and a healthy diet with lots of green veggies will provide all the fluoride the body needs.

    Sorry mate, every independent study on tooth decay has shown there is no difference between countries that use fluoridation of salt or drinking water and those that don’t. Secondly fluoride does not need to be ingested as the effect is from contact not ingestion. Science has proven fluoridation of water is not necessary, why do you think it is banned in so many countries. Any ‘benefit’ from fluoride for teeth can be received from brushing your teeth.

    As for sedation of the population, it was first used by the Nazi’s, not x-files, history.

    Try getting some facts before you flout your ignorance.

    Simply find out what the main ingredient is in rat poison. (Prozac and other sedatives are also greatly made up of fluoride)
    Then again, we’re already under asault from chemtrails, so i s’pose a little fluoride won’t hurt.

    Well, here we go again, back on the magic roundabout of paranoia, ignorance and internet-fuelled conspiracy theories.

    If you don’t agree, get a rain water tank. This has been done to death. You all failed to produce anything other than hyperbole and empty rhetoric.

    Here’s the kicker that not one anti-fluoridationist seems to be able to come up with.

    Where are the affected people in areas that have had long term exposure to artificial controlled fluoridation?

    Assuming that you are correct, shouldn’t there be a corresponding jump in fluoride caused ailments in these areas? Can you supply the figures?

    And Ray, most rodenticides are Anticoagulants. Warfarin ( C19H16O4 ), most specifically.

    Prozac ( C17H18F3NO ) can hardly be describe as “greatly made up of fluoride”. Every molecule contains 3 atoms of fluorine, 17 carbon, 18 hydrogen and one oxygen.

    What this does highlight is a lack of understanding of chemistry. Not necessarily a bad thing, given one understands that fact.

    I lack understanding in piloting passenger aircraft, so I don’t see any value in telling the pilot that he is doing it all wrong, and has been for years.
