Thieves and vandals hit construction site

Renovations and extensions to the Lake Terrace Boandik Lodge aged care facility are being jeopardised by unknown, “well prepared” miscreants, who have taken to stealing anything that has not been bolted down at the Dycer Constructions site on Downer Road.

Police have intensified their hunt for the culprits, following vandalism that included $3000 damage to wiring at the half-finished premises overnight on Tuesday. Read more

$3m aged care centre upgrade

Boandik Lodge aged care facility and Dycer Constructions have signed contracts for a $3 million upgrade of the original section of the Kessal Wing Nursing Home on Lake Terrace East.

Boandik Lodge board chair Eric Roughana and Dycer Constructions proprietor Chris Dycer on Tuesday signed the contracts for the upgrade, which will provide 18 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms to residents. Read more

New independent living units opened

Boandik Lodge aged care facility on Wednesday officially opened new independent living units on its Lake Terrace East site.

Appropriately named after Vince Versace, who not only constructed the units but also donated one to the value of $170,000, Versace Court boast four two-bedroom units with spacious living areas and low-maintenance gardens. Read more
