Family First campaign launched

Mount Gambier property developer Henk Bruins has officially launched his campaign as the Family First candidate for the seat of Mount Gambier and has promised to fight for more development, along with better health and education services.
Nearly 100 people packed City Hall on Wednesday for the launch, which included Family First MLC Dennis Hood and the party’s state president Andrew Evans. Read more

The Family First campaign for Mount Gambier will be launched at the City Hall on Wednesday, February 3 at 7.30pm.
Candidate Henk Bruins will be joined by parliamentary leader Denis Hood MLC.

Frustration with city-centric governance by the major parties has prompted Mount Gambier man Henk Bruins to stand for the Family First Party at next year’s state election.
“I have always lived in Mount Gambier and love our area, but am somewhat incensed by what I see as the overlooking of our region all the time — the government is increasingly city centric,” he told The Border Watch. Read more
Family First to contest Mount Gambier

The Family First party will announce its candidate for Mount Gambier this weekend.
Family First MLCs Dennis Hood and Robert Brokenshire will be visiting the region and plan to announce the party’s candidate for the March election.
“We’ve been appalled at this Government’s neglect of services and infrastructure in country South Australia, which is why we support equity in services and infrastructure for regions like the South East, which goes far beyond others’ royalties for regions policies,” they said.
