Timber Tech winds up

Only one creditor of the liquidated Mount Gambier forestry-related company Timber Tech Engineering, turned up at a creditors’ meeting held in Adelaide on Tuesday.

Liquidators Freer Parker and Associates held an annual general meeting for creditors to disclose how the winding up has been conducted and how the property of Timber Tech has been disposed of in the past year. Read more

Dairy companies face collapse

Three companies in the Mount Gambier-based Ryan Management Group, which are linked to Carilla Dairy in Tintinara, are in all receivership.

Lomaria, the company which runs the dairy, owes unsecured creditors $6.7m; Real Agribusiness, the trustee of the land which owns the dairy, owes $203,000; and Real Dairy Management, which operates and owns the dairy equipment, owes $755,000. Read more

Jobs lost in engineering firm collapse

More than a dozen workers have lost their jobs in the lead up to Christmas after the economic downturn contributed to the collapse of a Mount Gambier engineering firm.

A meeting was held in Adelaide on Monday for creditors of Orcades Engineering, which is in liquidation with debts totalling $1.73m. Read more
