City council to upgrade playgrounds

Mount Gambier City Council has unveiled plans to significantly upgrade several playgrounds over a three-year period.
Council has proposed pouring $35,000 into the Stiles Street playground in 2010-11 and $50,000 into the popular Valley Lake playground in 2011-12, continuing to upgrade what is a major asset and attraction in the city.
Meanwhile, $30,000 is likely to be spent on the ageing Ramsay Avenue playground in 2012 – 13.

Mount Gambier City Council will spend $70,000 to upgrade two playgrounds in the city.
Council is expected to spend $35,000 to expand the playground at Don McDonnell Reserve, while another $35,000 will be used to upgrade the William A Crouch Reserve. Read more
