A Mount Gambier district mayor has warned the three-year delay in the roll-out of the region’s water allocation plan could threaten the sustainability of the resource and force larger irrigation cuts to industry.
Grant District mayor Don Pegler said the Lower South East water allocation plan was long overdue and industries — including the region’s $1b forest industry — were left in limbo. Read more

Although these changes are minor in most areas, the changes seek to better align boundaries with local government areas. Read more
