Doubles tournament on Sunday

The Mount Gambier Tennis Association will conduct its annual doubles and mixed doubles tournament this Sunday (February 7, 2010).
The event is open to players of all grades.
Registrations will be accepted till 9am on Sunday and competition will commence at 10am. Read more

Mount Gambier has again been offered the opportunity to host one of Tennis Australia’s most prestigious juniot events.
Following on from a successful tournament last year, the Optus Junior Tour event will be played on the Limestone Coast from January 23 – 26. Read more

Mount Gambier Women’s Tennis International runner-up Alicia Molik has been granted a wildcard entry to next month’s Australian Open.
Molik, who lost in the final at Mount Gambier to rising New Zealand star Sacha Jones, was a stand-out performer on the Pro Tour. Read more

Organisers have hailed the Mount Gambier Women’s Tennis International the “best ever” after record crowds flocked to see home-state hero Alicia Molik continue her comeback following an extended lay-off due to injury.
The former world top 10 player proved a major drawcard and attracted 600 people to the final against rising New Zealand star Sacha Jones on Sunday. Read more

Alicia Molik continued her winning form in the Mount Gambier Women’s Tennis International with a comfortable 6 – 3, 6 – 4 victory in the quarter final against Marija Mirkovic.
Molik will now meet Shannon Golds from Queensland in the semi-final on Saturday.
