King rules in road series

Caldersmith burns off rivals

Cyclist Matt Caldersmith secured victory in the penultimate round of the Mount Gambier Cycling and Triathlon Club’s Summer Series recently.

Ironman contends with jellyfish

With the prestigious Port Macquarie Triathlon next month firmly in his mind, Mount Gambier’s Toby Richardson should be well satisfied with his performance in last weekend’s Geelong Ironman, despite his first hand encounter with jellyfish.

Richardson was one of four Mount Gambier based competitors that lined up in the tough Geelong event, which included a 1.9km ocean swim, a 90.1km bike ride and a 21.1km run around the Eastern Beach region. Read more

Richardson named SA triathlon champ

Mount Gambier triathlete Toby Richardson has capped off a season of strong results by being named the South Australian Triathlon Champion in his age group.

Richardson was ranked the No. 1 male aged 20 – 24 in the Sportsmed SA State Series which saw competitors gain points over a series of rounds during the 2008-09 season. Read more
