BACK-TO-BACK: The Mount Burr A Grade football team celebrated back-to-back Mid South East premierships with a 42-point win against the Kalangadoo Magpies at Hatherleigh on Saturday.

MOUNT Burr has defended its title and claimed its 18th A Grade premiership following its 42-point victory over minor premiers Kalangadoo in the Mid South East Football League grand final at Hatherleigh on Saturday.

By winning three of the four quarters, the Mozzies thwarted the Magpies and allowed them to post a winning score in the good playing conditions.

It was an 87-point turnaround on the second semi-final result at Kongorong when the black-and-whites had swamped the green-and-golds in the final term.

For the second year in a row, Mount Burr has lowered the colours of the minor premier in the season decider after losing the second semi.
