PORT MacDonnell resident Sharon Fox said she was "blown away" by the generosity of the Limestone Coast community when she shaved her head to raise funds for the McGrath Foundation last month.

A high tea at the Port MacDonnell Golf Club attracted a strong crowd of locals ready to support Ms Fox as she unveiled her new look.

She said those in attendance were willing to generously donate to the cause and so too were friends and distant acquaintances who donated online.

Ms Fox said she was inspired to shave her head after a close friend was diagnosed with breast cancer.
