CAR ROLLOVER: Police and emergency services attend the scene of a car rollover at Mount Schank on Tuesday night, but were unable to find the driver.

A VEHICLE was torched in the early hours of yesterday morning following a failed search by police to locate the driver who rolled the car hours earlier, but left the scene before emergency services arrived.

Police and emergency services were first called to the scene at 8.30pm on Tuesday night after reports of a car overturning on Post Office Road in Mount Schank.

They arrived to find a Nissan four-wheel-drive with Victorian number plates full of tools and various other equipment rolled onto its roof on the bank to the side of the road.

It appeared the driver lost control at a sharp right bend, causing the car to overturn and roll.
