TWO Mount Gambier residents will lose their locks at Metro Bakery this Saturday to raise funds for the Leukaemia Foundation's World's Greatest Shave.

Trish van Dyk committed to shaving her blonde tresses last year and has since skipped her regular salon visits in preparation.

"My hair was shorter last year, so I decided I needed to grow it out a little longer before I shaved it off," Ms Van Dyk explained.

"I'm both nervous and excited."
