SPORTS STAR: High Performance Sports Program students at Tenison Woods College Hannah Elliot and Olivia Fuller spend time with Adelaide Crows player Jenna McCormick yesterday.

EXCITEMENT flowed through the Tenison Woods College grounds yesterday as former student and now women's Australian Football League star Jenna McCormick dropped by.

Developing her passion for sport during her years at school, Ms McCormick's focus was initially on soccer, playing for both Adelaide United and Canberra United before joining the newly-formed women's AFL competition.

She was a part of the premiership winning team this year with the Adelaide Crows and yesterday she shared her journey to sporting success with young athletes in the High Performance Sports (HPS) and IGNITE programs.
