MOUNT Gambier doctors have voiced grave concerns for the health of the community amid claims hydraulic fracturing - known as fracking - has not been ruled out in the region.
Taking a stand against unconventional gas extraction, Hawkins Clinic partner Doctor Mike Bruorton said he was not "sitting on the fence" anymore.
The medical fraternity is calling on all South East councils to rally behind the region's anti-fracking movement.
This comes as the State Government ramps up gas exploration in the Limestone Coast by opening up expansive new areas to gas companies.
