Weather affects numbers

WORTH THE EFFORT: Having braved the adverse weather conditions, Karen Lock claimed the win ahead of Gail Stanley at the Millicent Golf club last week.

THE poor weather forecast once again deterred the Millicent Golf Club women from hitting the fairways last week.

Sixteen members arrived to play a stableford competition, but only 10 took to the course and just six finished 18 holes.

Karen Lock had the best score of the day with 30 points, followed by new player Gail Stanley with 23.

Sue Agnew won the nine-hole competition with 16 points on a count-back from Robyn Walters.

Nearest to pin for all players on the par 3, third hole went to Walters.

Nearest to pin second shot for players with handicaps 32-45 on the par 3, 17th hole went to Stanley.

Competition for Wednesday, June 30 is par, with scores to count for the Anne Whitty Memorial Trophy.
